twitvid ...why

this morning i saw that twitvid deleted my smashing pumpkins video...why? it´s not that i´m very super angry now...but kinda pissed because i don´t know the reason ...why can´t they just send me a note why they deleted it...i want these videos online...guess i need a ghost account on youtube ;)

back in 1998...that was EPIC !!! germany,hamburg -spielbudenplatz-

back in 1998 i saw THE SMASHING PUMPKINS live for the first time...an awakening. yes, really!
i knew the band because a friend recommended the "mellon collie and the infinite sadness" double album to me and i really liked the music.
there was nearly no promotion for the show...or i didn´t recognize it. i really stumbled over a poster on my dayly way to work. it said: "the smashing pumpkins, live and for free , 14. mai 1998, 19.oo uhr auf dem spielbudenplatz. " i saw that two days before the show.
so two days later i grabbed my boyfriend and we went to the reeperbahn where the show was...right in the middle of the sinful mile of hamburg :)...if you never heard about that part of my hometown...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reeperbahn .
when we got out of the u-bahn we where amazed by how many people showed up to see this free show on a public place. the main area for the concert was in fences, but low ones. it looked like nobody would have thought that so many people would come.
the place was crowded but relaxed. the cars stuck in traffic where less relaxed and there was nothing they could do. traffic on one of the main-main streets of hamburg totally broke down. DER SPIEGEL wrote that about 30000 people showed up...i believe there where more. it was unbelieveable.
my boyfriend and i got pretty good places near the stage...did i mention that i hate those crowdsurfing people?
this was the most amazing live show of my life...and finally i have a decent recording of this show. a pumpkin fan-friend send it to me.
the video i share shows the last two songs of the show that i never found on the internet yet. all the other songs where uploaded by other users on you tube before.

the full moon is beautiful...shining like a nightsun into my kitchenwindow...and makes me paint...

this is how far i got...work in progress...my blog is my sketch book...now i have to decide on more or other colors...

new "relax" piece

i used an old sketch i made for a postcard i send to a friend almost two years ago. really? two years? time goes by so fast...not sure about the text on the painting...well...this one is for relaxed painting and practise while i still work on "the girl of my life"

she really is the girl of my life...this painting is so big...will be a real challenge to ship this...oh my

i changed the backround colour from brounish-grey-white to greenish-grey-white and a tiny bit of blue.

the effect is that it seems like the backround colour changes in the different lights of the day...i am very happy about how this turns out.

now i´m adding the text ...by hand...real work...bought new brushes...and i so enjoy that kind of work.

i´ll give the girl a complete make-over...one more layer and then fine parts.

i´ll need more time to paint her skin than for anything else...skin is so difficult and i have so high standarts to myself...gonna be a challenge  i am looking forward to .

people i´ve lost / my old poetry album

i am a keeper...some people call me a messie...but i keep things. 

just a few days ago i found my old poetry album or friendship book

 

i started it when i was nine years old...

and it "features" people i´ve lost on my way out of childhoodland...

starting with my mother and my "stepdad" (bf of mom)

i lost my mother when she decided that i wasn´t good enough anymore and i lost my "stepdad" when she decided he wasn´t good enough anymore...that´s just how she is
i don´t even know if he´s still alive...my mom was always good in breaking bridges.

this is the saddest entry in this book. 

it´s from my cousin nicole.

she lived in italy, because her dad is italian and 

her mom is my cousin (i leave out the grades,ok?)

she wrote this into my book in the year 1986...and that kinda creeps me out now,

because she died in 1995...only 25 years old...and it was so sad

it still makes me sad

and i miss her...

of course there are many sweet and cute entrys in this little book, but these touched me the most when i saw them now...after so many years...

Amanda Floral Palmer

i found a twitpic photo of amanda palmer and it inspired me to paint.

i tryed something new, i painted it "ala prima".

learned on the web, that it means to finish a painting in one session.

so i did and it. took me 4 hours.
then i scanned the painting and emailed it to amanda palmer .

she then posted it to her twitpic account!

OK! this is a huge canvas i am painting for a customer...the work i did so far...

i need a studio one day

my kitchen sink...(is it called sink? this place you don´t use when you have a dishwasher?)

i think it´s time to reanimate this blogspot a little bit...so i start with a post that i wrote for my official homepage a few days ago. i hope you can stand my mourning...

looking back at the past 12 month i have to say: it was the hardest challenge i ever had in my life. i am not quite thru this valley of shit, but i see the light, i am almost there. life will be good again.

the shit started in may 2009, i got terrible pain in my back, so bad i wasn´t able to do my job at the kindergarden anymore. i went from doctor to doctor. they didn´t find what caused the pain. the pills they gave me where useless, the shots they gave me where doing nothing...the pain was not going away, it got worse. my leg was "out of order" i was hardly able to walk...and doctors told me it was psychosomatic.

hell! i don´t have this fucking pain in my brain! i went to the shrink but i felt so badly wrong sitting there with a guy who doesn´t really care about me...i have friends i can talk to, i thought , what am i doing here? sure i have some issues, but they are not related to my back.

then finally one doctor made a CT and found out that i have a very badly slipped disc in my spine that hurts the nerves...or so, i´m not a doctor...

this is it, my bad back:

i was kind of glad to know now what it was, to be absolutely sure that i´m not crazy or that i do not have cancer, because that was one of the scary thoughts wandering thru my brain...they don´t find out , what if i have cancer?

yes, stupid, i know....but this pain is so bad, really...like knifes cutting in your veins...even if you do not move...

well, then i had to go to surgery in november 2009. yes, gladly everything went well. thank god. the beast of pain was leashed.

now i´m recovering since then...a lot of shit also happened at my work...very complicated stuff, too much for the web and i´m not quite sureif i´m allowed to talk about it at all.

fact is, i am broke. hahaha, yes i know this is not new to you, but more broke than before which i didn´t know was possible but it is.

i hope to work until the end of this month i a new kindergarden with older kids i don´t have to lift up and carry around, i´m looking forward to it . i need some regular life now! a regular income. i lost so much money in the past month because i wasn´t able to work. yes health insurance is good here in germany, better than in some other places, but it´s still bad if you loose 200,- € or like now 400,- € every month.

but it will be better, i hope.

on the art side: i cancelled the childrens book project because my brain wasn´t able to create something nice and pure and innocent. my brain was to busy with unlikely stuff.

i will soon create a new DIY ArtBook together with my dear friend sunflowerdagger. it´s all in my brain but it´s not ready yet.

i need a new printer, my printer is too old.

i´ll paint a big canvas for a customer in the usa soon, i´m excited and i wanna start!!!

but i have no car so i still wait for a friends reply if she helps me to buy the huge canvas and transport it to my home...

the biggest challenge will the packing and shipping rbing, but later to that...

ignore typos and wrong english, i´m german ;)

my new video

this took much too long but finally i uploaded a new art video on you tube

my editor @cherubimu told me it took  two hours of rendering for a minute of film.

he created the city with the programme google sketch up . there is a version for free download .

after he created the locations he added my artworx to the rooms and walls of the place.

the pictures are mostly from my DIY ArtBookProject but also feature pictures that will be in the next issue

of the DIY ArtBookProject. i have some ideas and i have a dear friend contributing with words again.

more about that later.

the music in this video is from the US band The Mercury Veil

they gave me the permission to use theyr song “Steeples” for my video and currently

i´m working on album artwork for them.
