what is THE DESTINY MANIFESTO, and where can i buy it?

THE DESTINY MANIFESTO is a collaboration between artists in chicago,IL/USA and hamburg/germany. it´s a dream we´ve dreamed for a long time.

i am the "germany" part.
the USA parts are:
most important- the author Robert Del Rio who contacted me over a year ago via facebook to plan this book. he is writing wonderful poems and wanted my artworx for his book...our book. so i reedited and created some new pieces and send about 50 different artworks to him. also in this book:art by Anthony Lowery and the cover is done by Roshawn Allen of DOPEproductions.

if you like to support independent artists and know kickstarter, did you know that only USA residents can start a kickstarter campaign? i know now,because i tryed to make one and i live in germany. that sucks. so i was thinking, how to do a fundraise for my new projects...and i found an app at my homepage .

i am asking for a little help to get an idea out of my head on some canvas. i am planning to create one or some series of paintings for a real exhibition and so i need canvas, brushes, paint...ect...i am working hard but my budget is small and since i found out that kickstarter is only for people who have an adress in the USA, i am trying to make my own. i will update my creating process on twitter and facebook almost in realtime with a lot of photos of the work in progress. every donation is very much appreciated and will be used only to buy canvas, brushes, paint,etc...

the ideas i have are

1. "the abusive fairy tales"

2."sunflowerdaggerdreams"

and 3. "internuts"

but it very much depends on you how many of my ideas will become "real".

the book, yes i saw the pdf for the final print version of the book Robert Del Rio and i are working on. it has about 100 pages filled with Roberts poetry many many of my drawings & paintings, newly edited by me for the book. cover art and layout done by D.O.P.E. (Done Only by Practice and Experience) and it will be released thru hyde park in chicago illinois.

i will also set up a website together with the author to promote and sell the book when it is released.

here is a little sneak peak of the coverart:

i´ll keep you updated and will post immediately when i know the release date.

hi friends,

long time no blog...

i am going to be featured in a book...this book will be out

soon, i hope. it´s a wonderful collection of poems written by facebook friend and sp fan (yes that´s important,because we wouldn´t have that deep conversations without the music connection) Robert DelRio.

in this book you´ll see almost all my artworks (at least all i thought i can show public).

i reedited all of them for the book. so you´ll get 50 poems and my art on every page. as much as i know,and that´s not too much, there´ll be one item that´s not mine

the books name is THE MANIFESTO OF DESTINY and i will definitely keep you updated and provide you with links when it´s for sale online.

so...life...art is hard...hahaha. it´s getting better...or at least i´m pretending that it gets better...

i wanna create big paintings but i have no money to buy big canvas, so i have to do this project in my head until i am able to go to the art store. blablabla

i made a shirt design for a band but got no reply if they like it yet...cross your fingers...it would be so cool :)

my twitter is recovering slowly...i have 119 followers now...damn you twitter for suspending my @nataschaartworx account (read post about that).

some stuff i made in the last 3 month:

i taped my camera to my easel and recorded myself doing a sketch on canvas.

now you see 30 minutes stuffed into 3,5 minutes…speed painting :)

the music is by the wonderful band COSIO , they broke up but i love theyr album THE CACOPHONIST is one of my favorites.

i used the song “pearls to swine” with permission of the band.

last saturday was like most saturdays...just only one thing: my twitter account @nataschaartworx got suspended.

i logged in and saw this:

ACCOUND SUSPENDED!

you might ask: why?

well, i could say: i was a bad girl but honestly...i don´t know.

i contacted twitter and asked them what this is all about on saturday...well, now we have tuesday and i have no reply yet.

i was thinking and thinking...i guess i know what i did wrong now.

i posted a fukushima-related video to my tumblr. after that i got a link from a stranger with the text:

"see where else radiation hits ... LINK"

...well, my mistake was that i clicked and

it showed me a titti-i´m-so-hot-site...

i really hate stuff like that and i told the sender to

...well you can guess ;)

when i wanted to log in the next time my account was suspended,

all followers und followings to zero,

no chance to tweet,

twitpic account with 289 pictures: useless...

two years of networking: gone by one click.

of course i did set up a new account immediately and told some friends what happened.

now i have sweet 35 followers...623 was my last count on my nataschaartworx account before it was shut down .

and it makes me mad that they do not reply to me.

so, i really feel like killed right now. my name is done now, i can´t do a "@natascha_artworx" or something because the box is too small for that one "_"...nataschaartworx did just fit in so right, and now it is gone. i got a new one on twitter now, i literally left out the middle.

hi, i´ve been a lazy writer, i know i know, so now i will write a bit about my last weekend on twitter:

first of all, it was january 8 and i was thinking: damn it, i gotta pay those bills, what do i do to get rid of some artworx for some cents...every cent counts (yes, and if you think:huh? that bad? i´d say: no worse).

so i tweeted that i´d make a spontanious auction of some prints and originals on twitpic from saturday night until sunday night.

it was a test, to see if something like that works. and guess what? it works.

i posted this two hours before i started my ninja twitter auction and posted the rules using #twitterauction

and got rid of some three little prints and one original painting. not for a lot of money, but that is unimportant. the fact is, that i spread my artworx over this planet...as far and wide it gets...maybe one of them will survive the time...if you know what i mean...

ok, i´m drifting away, back to the twitterauction-action: so, because of this personal success i decided to make it REAL with a better preparing and better photos and i posted an event on facebook.

then i uploaded 10 photos and asked the facebook people to vote for the pictures (with the LIKE button). the 5 photos with the most response where the chosen ones...

i hope you all have a merry christmas, a good meal with friends/ family and a lotta love...
i feel the urge to update this today...ignoring my carpal tunnel syndrome as long as i can...

well, what happened in my little art bubble? i had some custom pieces to draw for christmas, portraits in pencil after photos, they saved my big a... this christmas, so: thank you all who purchased my cards and ordered custom art , i love you for that!!!

pencil drawing with a little digital editing (the stars + i changed the color into blue-ish instead of pencil-grey)

some tv stars i don´t know...no i know it´s not really art in the art sense,but work in the artwork sense...i need to pay bills,like we all do...

and a very bad and quick photo of this piece, i didn´t even had the time to scan it, because i had so much pain in my right hand,i waited too long to draw it because i thought the pain would go away, but it didn´t. so i had to draw it fast, and while i was at work with it, the guy came to my home and wanted to pick it up already...so, that´s why i have no good scan of it, and you see i´m a bad bad photographer...

and what else did i do...ah i created a band artwork for a new band of my friend hollie...sadly it already broke up,but...hey...i can do stuff like that and maybe there comes someone else who needs artwork for music? i love to do that.

well...that´s pretty much it...i gotta keep this post short...

this morning i saw that twitvid deleted my smashing pumpkins video...why? it´s not that i´m very super angry now...but kinda pissed because i don´t know the reason ...why can´t they just send me a note why they deleted it...i want these videos online...guess i need a ghost account on youtube ;)

back in 1998 i saw THE SMASHING PUMPKINS live for the first time...an awakening. yes, really!
i knew the band because a friend recommended the "mellon collie and the infinite sadness" double album to me and i really liked the music.
there was nearly no promotion for the show...or i didn´t recognize it. i really stumbled over a poster on my dayly way to work. it said: "the smashing pumpkins, live and for free , 14. mai 1998, 19.oo uhr auf dem spielbudenplatz. " i saw that two days before the show.
so two days later i grabbed my boyfriend and we went to the reeperbahn where the show was...right in the middle of the sinful mile of hamburg :)...if you never heard about that part of my hometown...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reeperbahn .
when we got out of the u-bahn we where amazed by how many people showed up to see this free show on a public place. the main area for the concert was in fences, but low ones. it looked like nobody would have thought that so many people would come.
the place was crowded but relaxed. the cars stuck in traffic where less relaxed and there was nothing they could do. traffic on one of the main-main streets of hamburg totally broke down. DER SPIEGEL wrote that about 30000 people showed up...i believe there where more. it was unbelieveable.
my boyfriend and i got pretty good places near the stage...did i mention that i hate those crowdsurfing people?
this was the most amazing live show of my life...and finally i have a decent recording of this show. a pumpkin fan-friend send it to me.
the video i share shows the last two songs of the show that i never found on the internet yet. all the other songs where uploaded by other users on you tube before.

i used an old sketch i made for a postcard i send to a friend almost two years ago. really? two years? time goes by so fast...not sure about the text on the painting...well...this one is for relaxed painting and practise while i still work on "the girl of my life"

she really is the girl of my life...this painting is so big...will be a real challenge to ship this...oh my

i changed the backround colour from brounish-grey-white to greenish-grey-white and a tiny bit of blue.

the effect is that it seems like the backround colour changes in the different lights of the day...i am very happy about how this turns out.

now i´m adding the text ...by hand...real work...bought new brushes...and i so enjoy that kind of work.

i´ll give the girl a complete make-over...one more layer and then fine parts.

i´ll need more time to paint her skin than for anything else...skin is so difficult and i have so high standarts to myself...gonna be a challenge i am looking forward to .

people i´ve lost / my old poetry album

i am a keeper...some people call me a messie...but i keep things.

just a few days ago i found my old poetry album or friendship book

i started it when i was nine years old...

and it "features" people i´ve lost on my way out of childhoodland...

starting with my mother and my "stepdad" (bf of mom)

i lost my mother when she decided that i wasn´t good enough anymore and i lost my "stepdad" when she decided he wasn´t good enough anymore...that´s just how she is
i don´t even know if he´s still alive...my mom was always good in breaking bridges.

this is the saddest entry in this book.

it´s from my cousin nicole.

she lived in italy, because her dad is italian and

her mom is my cousin (i leave out the grades,ok?)

she wrote this into my book in the year 1986...and that kinda creeps me out now,

because she died in 1995...only 25 years old...and it was so sad

it still makes me sad

and i miss her...

of course there are many sweet and cute entrys in this little book, but these touched me the most when i saw them now...after so many years...

i tryed something new, i painted it "ala prima".

learned on the web, that it means to finish a painting in one session.

so i did and it. took me 4 hours.
then i scanned the painting and emailed it to amanda palmer .

looking back at the past 12 month i have to say: it was the hardest challenge i ever had in my life. i am not quite thru this valley of shit, but i see the light, i am almost there. life will be good again.

the shit started in may 2009, i got terrible pain in my back, so bad i wasn´t able to do my job at the kindergarden anymore. i went from doctor to doctor. they didn´t find what caused the pain. the pills they gave me where useless, the shots they gave me where doing nothing...the pain was not going away, it got worse. my leg was "out of order" i was hardly able to walk...and doctors told me it was psychosomatic.

hell! i don´t have this fucking pain in my brain! i went to the shrink but i felt so badly wrong sitting there with a guy who doesn´t really care about me...i have friends i can talk to, i thought , what am i doing here? sure i have some issues, but they are not related to my back.

then finally one doctor made a CT and found out that i have a very badly slipped disc in my spine that hurts the nerves...or so, i´m not a doctor...

this is it, my bad back:

i was kind of glad to know now what it was, to be absolutely sure that i´m not crazy or that i do not have cancer, because that was one of the scary thoughts wandering thru my brain...they don´t find out , what if i have cancer?

yes, stupid, i know....but this pain is so bad, really...like knifes cutting in your veins...even if you do not move...

well, then i had to go to surgery in november 2009. yes, gladly everything went well. thank god. the beast of pain was leashed.

now i´m recovering since then...a lot of shit also happened at my work...very complicated stuff, too much for the web and i´m not quite sureif i´m allowed to talk about it at all.

fact is, i am broke. hahaha, yes i know this is not new to you, but more broke than before which i didn´t know was possible but it is.

i hope to work until the end of this month i a new kindergarden with older kids i don´t have to lift up and carry around, i´m looking forward to it . i need some regular life now! a regular income. i lost so much money in the past month because i wasn´t able to work. yes health insurance is good here in germany, better than in some other places, but it´s still bad if you loose 200,- € or like now 400,- € every month.

but it will be better, i hope.

on the art side: i cancelled the childrens book project because my brain wasn´t able to create something nice and pure and innocent. my brain was to busy with unlikely stuff.

i will soon create a new DIY ArtBook together with my dear friend sunflowerdagger. it´s all in my brain but it´s not ready yet.

i need a new printer, my printer is too old.

i´ll paint a big canvas for a customer in the usa soon, i´m excited and i wanna start!!!

but i have no car so i still wait for a friends reply if she helps me to buy the huge canvas and transport it to my home...

the biggest challenge will the packing and shipping rbing, but later to that...

my new video

this took much too long but finally i uploaded a new art video on you tube

my editor @cherubimu told me it took two hours of rendering for a minute of film.

he created the city with the programme google sketch up . there is a version for free download .

after he created the locations he added my artworx to the rooms and walls of the place.

the pictures are mostly from my DIY ArtBookProject but also feature pictures that will be in the next issue

of the DIY ArtBookProject. i have some ideas and i have a dear friend contributing with words again.

more about that later.

the music in this video is from the US band The Mercury Veil

they gave me the permission to use theyr song “Steeples” for my video and currently

i´m working on album artwork for them.

well well, kinda special day today because i made my very first you tube video...me myself and i drawing/ painting a fairy lady. filmed and edited by django.

and i made a new header, looks cool, hmm? now my canon has no black ink anymore and i am running out of paper...CRISIS!
